After 17 years, eBay has updated its logo to a new and cleaner look.
The iconic overlapping green, blue, red and yellow letters have now been redesigned to represent a more sleek and image, which represents “eBay today”, according to eBay president, Devin Wenig.
“We wanted to reflect the right amount of change in eBay’s new logo,” said Su Mathews, a senior partner at Lippincott, in a statement provided by eBay.
“The design is inspired by today’s vibrant marketplace and sleeker experiences. We leveraged the iconic color arrangement and approachable form to reflect eBay’s heritage, and evolved it with a brighter blue and darker yellow and a streamlined arrangement to create more visual harmony.”
eBay is said to have more than 100 million active users and 25 million sellers globally.
