Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has shed some light on the possible pricing range of the company’s upcoming Surface tablet.

Ballmer said that the tablet will come in the “sweet spot” for pricing, costing “probably $300 to about $700 or $800″ .

Ballmer’s relatively vague price range is said to make to Surface a “very competitive product from the features perspective”.

The release date for the Surface tablet has not been confirmed.
