Android 4.2 could be announced towards the end of October, as rumours of the next instalment of the OS begin to heat up.

Version 4.2 has begun popping up on logs that are running current Nexus-branded devices.

Some new features, like a customisation center that allows users to change the look and feel of the OS, and a feature to manage battery life (Project Roadrunner), are rumoured on 4.2.

The speculation surrounding the next instalment has started before the roll-out plans of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean have even been finalised.
