Firefox 16 has only been out for a short time, but the latest version of Mozilla‘s web browser has been pulled down due to a security vulnerability.

“The vulnerability could allow a malicious site to potentially determine which websites users have visited and have access to the URL or URL parameters,” Mozilla’s director of security assurance, Michael Coates wrote in a blog post.

“At this time we have no indication that this vulnerability is currently being exploited in the wild.”

Mozilla recommended that users currently using Firefox 16 should downgrade to 15.0.1.

A fixed version of the browser is expected to be available shortly.
