Twitter issees a strong growth in daily tweets

Twitter is now racking up half a billion tweets every day.
At the Engage conference in London, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo confirmed the number, which is up from the 400 million daily tweets reported in June.
Costolo also confirmed that Twitter is testing “like” and star buttons on the microblogging website. The two additions had been previously rumoured, but this is the first time Twitter has made any official comment.
