The EN2 offers low end PC builders an affordable future proof chassis with impressive features

When building a new rig PC users often focus heavily on the more glamorous aspects of their system such as graphical processors, CPUs, power supplies and motherboards.

The cases in which these systems reside are often disregarded as a secondary factor. The reality is that PC cases offer the foundation upon which users put together the rest of their rig and ensure that the system is housed in a safe and cool environment.

Choosing the right chassis is therefore an integral part of building a new PC. A poor selection can cause heating issues, problems with fan space and integration with system components such power supplies and motherboards.

The IKONIK EN2 chassis was put to the test to determine whether it made the grade regarding build quality and design.

This entry level case incorporates a 0.6mm SECC body structure, a standard TAC 2.0 or transparent side panel, a 20mm width cable management compartment as well as a helpful top fan grid (many cases in this price range do not incorporate more than one or two fan grids).

In addition it also features a bottom fitted PSU compartment with air filter and rubber stand, a standard front access I/O panel, dust filtered mesh and a bottom fan filter.

What sets the EN2 apart from other chassis in its price range is the level of thought that has been put into the design. For roughly R300 the PC user will find a bottom end case which happens to feature high end add ons such as tooless design, a cable management compartment and liquid cooling.

The EN2’s build quality is also superb and incorporates a black mesh design which assists in keeping the system cool.

Overall the EN2 offers low end PC users an affordable way to future proof their systems for larger or more complex hardware.

Price: R300
