Google is developing a third-party keyboard for iOS, according to a report by The Verge.

The keyboard will reportedly use Google’s search engine as part of its interface, and has been in development for months.

Google declined to comment on the keyboard, but the report stated it will have: gesture-based typing; a Google search function; and buttons for picture and GIF searches.

The intention of the keyboard is to boost the number of Google searches on iOS, stated The Verge.
