Internet Solutions says Eskom price increase and infrastructure costs forced them to hike hosting tariffs

Internet Solutions (IS) has recently announced that they will increase their hosting prices by 10%.  In a letter to customers the company said that Eskom’s 31.3% price increase, and the rising cost of infrastructure and other resources, forced them to hike their 2010 hosting rates.

The higher prices will kick in on 1 January 2010, but the company said that customers whose contracts are less than 12 months old will only be affected by the higher prices at the end of their initial 12-month period.

IS apologized to customers for having to pass cost escalations on to them, but said that it is due to factors beyond their control.  They further promised to look for ways to cut costs and improve efficiencies where possible.
