Vodacom is the one of the largest telecommunications companies in Africa, providing services to over 55 million customers.

Vodacom offers its employees many perks, and its staff enjoy some of the highest average salaries in the industry.

Many young people may wonder what it takes to land a job at the company – both in terms of qualifications and personal characteristics.

Vodacom said it has the Discover Graduate Programme, which it uses to provide an accelerated career path to young high-performers coming straight from university.

These graduates need to have a strong work ethic, combined with high learning agility, confidence, and a passion for technology and the Vodacom brand.

“Moreover, the graduates need to be creative, embrace innovation, inquisitive (ask lots of questions), and be solutions driven,” said Vodacom.

If a graduate shows that they have the capabilities and potential during the Discover Graduate Programme, they will progress to the global network through Vodacom’s Columbus Programme.

“Taking on an international assignment, they’ll gain the knowledge and insights that will prepare them for the next stage of their Vodacom career.”
