Telkom SA Limited announced today that Mr B Molefe was withdrawn from the Board of Telkom.

Telkom changes directorate

According to a Telkom SENS Report its shareholders were advised that the Class B shareholder has withdrawn Mr B Molefe as its representative on the Board of Telkom with immediate effect and replaced him with Mr A Rhoda.

Brian Molefe was appointed to the Board on January 30, 2008. Mr Molefe is the CEO of the Public Investment Corporation Limited (PIC) responsible for the overall management of the PIC which manages assets in excess of R660 billion (mainly the Government Employees Pension Fund).

Previously he held the positions of Deputy Director General at the National Treasury with the portfolio of Asset and Liability Management.

Mr Athol Rhoda, a chartered accountant since 1984, has his own business, Rhoda and Associates Business Solutions, offering investment banking, consulting services, private equity and investment services.

He has 20 years experience in managing accounting, property asset management, corporate finance and investment banking, having held senior positions in companies such as Norwich, AngloGold and Standard Corporate and Investment Banking.
