Telkom SA looks no further than Lazarus Zim for chairman

Lazarus Zim has been re-appointed as the chairman of the Telkom board of directors

Telecommunications group Telkom SA said on Wednesday that Polelo Lazarus Zim has been re-appointed as the chairman of the Telkom Board of Directors with immediate effect.

His term of office will end at the earlier of August 31, 2013 or at the company’s Annual General Meeting of 2013.

Lazarus Zim was appointed as a non-executive director for a three year period and as chairman for a one year period on February 16, 2011.

He has served as CEO of the M-Net Channel, MD of M-Net SuperSport, CEO of MIH South Africa, MD of MTN International and executive director of the MTN Group (MTN), and chief executive of Anglo America SA Limited.
