MTN have announced their Mahala Thursday promotion today (1 March 2012), promising discounts of up to 100% on voice calls and SMSs during peak (06h00 – 18h59) – as well as off-peak hours every Thursday. This promotion is available to MTN Zone subscribers.
MTN Zone already offers users discounts of up to 100%, but Serame Taukobong, MTN South Africa’s chief marketing officer, explains that the Thursday promotion brings additional benefits.
“The difference is that customers typically receive high discounts during off-peak and weekend hours. MTN is now extending these discounts into peak periods to offer more value to its customers,” said Taukobong.
“Our MTN Zone customers can be assured that this is just the first step to making Mahala Thursday a day to remember for MTN customers, in fact watch this space for more innovative offers from MTN allowing you to reach out and connect for less,” concluded Taukobong.
