iBurst is set to launch their new iBTel service which will offer unlimited international calls at a fixed monthly charge

iBurst announced today (4 May 2012) that it will be launching a new iBTel service which offer subscribers unlimited international calls at a fixed monthly charge.

The iBTel voice over IP (VoIP) service works over any broadband connection, and can be used with any standard analogue telephone. Fax will also work on the service.

Some of the destinations which are supported in the unlimited calling package include (F = fixed line, M = mobile):

  • Europe (F)
  • South Africa (F)
  • India (F & M)
  • China (F & M)
  • USA (F & M)
  • Japan (F & M)
  • Canada (F & M)
  • Australia (F)
  • New Zealand (F)
  • Israel (F)

Pricing for the new ‘unlimited calling’ iBTel service starts at R699 per month on a 12-month contract with a mandatory once-off activation fee of R999.
