Electronic Communications Amendment Bill submission extended

The Department of Communications has extended the date for submissions on the Electronic Communications Amendment Bill

Communications Minister Dina Pule has extended the date for submissions on the Electronic Communications Amendment Bill to 14 September 2012.

“In order to allow for further consultations with all stakeholders the Minister has granted an extension as per Government Gazette 35642, published today 30 August 2012,” the DoC said in a press statement.

The Electronic Communications Amendment Bill was published in Government Gazette 35525 on 18 July 2012. The Bill aims to enhance broad-based black economic empowerment and improve competitiveness within the industry.
