Telkom ADSL 5102G ROUTER

Hi all i am in need of some help hope you could Provide me with some assistance this is the situation there is a Telkom 5102g Router installed with a adsl line a few PC's running mail and internet off this connection and two multifunction machines one is a Ricoh and the other a samsung, the Ricoh is setup to do scan to e-mail and works fine the samsung is also setup to do scan to e-mail however when you send a scan down with the Samsung machine the router just freezes up and nobody can pull mail or access the internet until you reboot the router,it seems like the router almost shuts down as if there was a virus of sorts that it has picked up what do you guys think ??
