View Full Version : Idiot in the traffic
So yesterday morning in the traffic my sister was driving down voortrekker on the way to campus. The traffic is very slow, standing still. Pulling onto voortrekker she has to pull close to the car in front of her to avoid stopping in the intersection when the robot changes as everybody is standing still.
The guy in front of her in a dark green corsa lite suddenly gets out and comes to her window shouting and swearing that she drove into him. When she stopped like half a meter away. He was read in the face and going off. His wife tried to gett him back in the car but she gave up. So the guy in the car in the next lane got out and confronted him, and he went off swearing at him. So he called the police, the station is like 50m away. Two police cars come over and arrested him and took him away. The guy's wife apologised and so did the police.
I think he was maybe drunk or something. The police took all the details down, but what would they do to this guy charge wise? Bit of a bazaar situation.

Some idiot in some red sports car turned from the wrong lane today to avoid sitting in the Q.
So I promptly "shoved" him out of the way in my old jalope. And then drove at 10ks per hour for a while boxing him in.

A taxi tried to block me at an intersection once because I didn't let him push in front of me from a no-turning lane when I was turning. When the driver realised I wasn't about to stop, I think he k@kked himself and ended up stalling in the middle of a busy intersection. I just sped off.

I travel down that road very often and road rage is an understatement for the type of stuff that happens there. :D

Something happened to me in Lenchen str a few nights ago, no traffic or anything...
Was driving along minding my own business, except the street lights were all out because some daft fsck in the municipality must have thought it was a good idea to turn them off on roads that have fairly massive road works going on. Anyway, this dude was just strolling in the middle of the road like he owned it, and got all pissed off with me cos i had to drop anchors not to take him out....

I Wish they would ban all trucks older than 10years of the road.
The other morning i was driving from the vaal to the airport it took me 3 and a half hours to get to the airport. (60KM)
Reason:
1 . One truck drove into a bridge near meyerton and while emergency personnel was attenting to it two other trucks on the other side of the road drove into each other. They closed the highway.
2. Just after voortrekker rd in alberton one truck decided to breakdown in the middle of the road.
3. A few hundred meters further another truck was standing still in the road.

Stand next to one in traffic, even with your windows closed it still gets in your ventilation by the time you drive of your car and you smell like a chevron employee in durban.

This morning saw two cops on the Atholl-Oaklands offramp waiting to pull someone over. So two taxi's are about to take the offramp and the cops walk into the middle of the road indicating to them to pull over. The taxis don't slow down and the cops had to jump out the way before they got knocked down. The one cop smacked the window of the front taxi as they merrily sped off into the netherworld of the M1

On Hyperion today there is a massive pothole (+/- 1m in diameter :eek:) and cars in both directions are swerving to miss it. This ijot is standing on the road where one car can barely fit at a time. I swear I clipped his shirt with my mirror, and he just looks at me and carries on talking to his buddy. Wait till its a Hummer thats next, you won't have an arm to wave.
