Also, the production values seem pretty cheap and nasty.

Its incredibly lame, drawn out as far as it possibly could be.
I cant handle stuff that is that boring and sloooooooooooooooooooow

but you have to admit that the main plot of the series is kind of gud

nothing ever happens.
Thats why I stopped watching Lost, nothing really happens on there, sure there's intrigue and suspense and you thnk things are happening but in actual fact not much changed since they landed on the island..Jericho has a story line, and there are changes...but yes you need to watch more than 5 episodes.

I am enjoying it. Today is Monday and can't wait until Wednesday to find out what the score is with the girlfriend. Sketchy business she is involved in!!!!

I noticed that season 2 (6 episodes) has begun in the states. Looking forward to tying up all the loose ends that season 1 will leave me with. :)

Last nights episode was good. I thought the dude was going to freeze to death out there 'cause the IRS girl can't figure out which way is west! Oh, and that final scene with the boss man and the old girlfriend, still thinking what she is up to. Is she the kingpin in the whole setup?

Can't wait 'till Wednesday next week. :)

yes that episode is an episode of particular SUCKNESS! Here this woman runs around in the 'wild' and just as her flashlight's batteries runs out she comes across Jake's parents, how convenient...it sucked liked like an Electrolux!

True, there was an element of suckness in that scenario. Still made for some drama though, and after all it is just a TV show, meant to be entertaining more than anything else. :D

Still digging the show though. I think it gives an interesting perspective on survival, as opposed to the standard "our plane crashed on a tropical island and we all have to survive polar bears" type shows. I can actually imagine a scenario where a small town could be isolated and forced to survive for some time.

Oh, and if we are getting picky about things.... Why is it that that bar in Jericho never runs out of the devils drink? And candles.... :p

I remember that when Heroes ended, Jericho was billed as being as good as Heroes, and I stupidly believed it.

I watched the first few episodes, and things were slow as hell. I have watched a few since then, but it couldn't hold my attention the way Heroes did. I acutally started watching wrestling again because of how slow Jericho was.

Once we got DSTV, I've found far more interesting things to watch and enjoy.

Like Stargate Atlantis :D

I also find Jericho very slow, and last nights episode didnt help either.

I find it even more slow than Lost.

After hearing that it suppose to be so good, I keep watching every week hoping it will improve but so far it hasnt.

The only decent part of the show is the Hawkins part of the story

I think it's good it is the last otherwise it'll end up dragging on and on like Lost and Prison Break. Short and sweet is the way to go with these kinds of series :)

So I was not the only one who thought the show sucks!

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- "Jericho," the post-apocalyptic CBS drama whose devoted fans rallied to save it from cancellation, has met its end.

Despite fervent fan support, "Jericho" just didn't attract enough viewers, said CBS.

The show failed to increase its audience and will air its final episode Tuesday, the network said Friday.

"Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more," CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said in a statement. "We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try."

"Jericho," which stars Skeet Ulrich, was canceled last May, triggering a fan protest that deluged the network with about 40,000 pounds of peanuts -- a tribute to the defiant "Nuts!" line uttered by Ulrich's character in the first-season finale.

CBS relented and ordered seven new episodes, which started airing in February.

Networks rarely reverse a show's cancellation, but CBS has proven its flexibility at least once before. In 1983, after "Cagney & Lacey" was canceled and the network was bombarded with protests, the police drama was brought back in 1984 -- and ran successfully until 1988.

The network also likely took into consideration the dent a long hiatus put in the show's viewership.

Last fall, "Jericho" was averaging 10.5 million viewers. When it returned in the spring, it drew about 8.1 million, about a 23 percent decline from the first half of the season. It's been averaging about 6 million viewers in its current run.

I think SABC does it on purpose,Its always the good shows that get cancelled, but chuck Norris will always be shown ROFL :D

Yeah episode 7 was really cool. but so many unanswered questions, like the 'mastermind' behind the bombs, he was shot but got away?
And how cool was it when Jake almost got into Texan skies and the 2 Texas jets just take out the Cheyene ones!
I enjoyed season 2 more but so short :(

That would really suck

Would have preferred Season 2 to be a proper length and come to some kind of conclusion.

I can only watch every 3rd or 4th episode, so it seems anything but slow to me. :D
I try and figure out what could have happened in-between and I quite like it.
