I'd like to know if it would be possible to plug the e220 USB modem that vodacom provides for mac users into the airport extreme base station?
I know that it has 3 ethernet connections that would work with ADSL but would it do the same thing if I plugged the modem into the USB hub?
I'm not keen on Telkom's offerings (shoddy service & cable theft issues...)
Thanks

I do not think that the Airport Extreme will work with the E220 in the way you describe. As far as I know the USB ports on the Airport Extreme can work with Hard Drives, USB Hubs and printers. As far as I know there is no interface in the Airport Extreme to do this.
You can share your internet on a different way. I sometimes share my E220 connection through the Ethernet port and then connect the Ethernet port on my Macbook to a Airport Express and share the internet in that way. This is handy when I travel and want to use my Iphone on Wifi rather than on Edge. Unfortunately the E220 usb connection cannot be shared on the Airport of my Macbook Directly.
In my house I use a normal PCMCIA card in the Linksys router and then connect the Linksys router to an Airport Extreme. The Airport Extreme runs my network drives (2 x 1TB hard drives) and extend the network through the rest of my property with the addition of 3 Airport Express units that run in WDS mode.
