Hi there, I recently had an audio installation done on my car by a shop called mobile dynamics. After they performed the installation (Split set up front, co-ax in the back, amplifier + 10" subwoofer) I noticed my car became sluggish, heavier on petrol and I noticed a sound that I had not heard before coming from my motor (Ford Focus 2.0 Trend). Coincidence? Ideas?

coincidence i think.
U can test it tho.
Wait till its super dark. Then startup the car, drive around the corner. play super heavy bass music. Rave or Club songs. As loud as possible. (usually the problem lies in the alternator)
If your headlights dimm a little when the bass kicks. Then u have a problem. (can check that when car is parked too)
But if your car is running (idle or driving) and music is thumping , and no lights twitch or go off or dimm . then yur okay.
Could just be an engin problem maybe.

I appreciate the input. I don't think i've ever seen the lights dim and the guy from the sound shop said i should be able to play the sound for about an hour with the engine off so i presume that says something for the battery. I'm going to go ahead and take it in to the ford garage tomorrow and see if they can pick anything up
