View Full Version : Mitsubishi Outlander or Subaru Forrester?
My brother was looking to get the Subaru Forrester until he saw the Mitsubishi Outlander, now he can't decide. I told him to go for the Mitsubishi but the Subaru is also nice.
If it was your choice, which would you choose and why?

The Scooby Forester. It has been voted best in class for a number of years now by a variety of motoring rags.

Depends on what he wants to use the vehicle for? Normal day to day driving, or pretending he's an offroad rally driver (while doing normal day to day driving)? :D

The subaru works on an open engine and are normally fuel guzzler s .So if your boet does`nt mind paying for fuel i`d say Subaru .Mitsubishi is of high quality as well - but these are 2 different cars altogether :o

Hehe, good point. I reckon mostly day to day driving, he is not really into pretending to be a rally driver but he wants a car that can at least drive on gravel roads in comfort. I guess both can do that no problem. He also wants something that is big enough to throw his mountain bike into.

Yeah true, although I noticed that the Mitsu is also quite thirsty, not too far behind the Subaru. Engines are almost the same capacity, 2.4 vs 2.5.

Go for the Forrester!
I had an Outlander, after 30 000 Km it went through 2 tyres (front) every 5 000 Km even after having wheel alignment done every 1 000 Km. Also its not light on petrol.
Thanks guys, so far that's 3 votes for the Forrester against my 1 vote for the Mitsubishi.
