Hi there
Have seen that rpm has done a radio interview and a couple of other articals, great job mate.
Was just wondering if anyone else has contacted any othe form of media ie. different newspapers, all of them if possible, tv shows, argus action maybe, basically whateva u think that can bring in publicity for the cause.

I mailed Beeld newspaper's "Tot U Diens" about two months ago, but got no reply from them. They propably thought I was one single user complaining about a "lightning fast" connection.
Their tune might change if we mailed them now.
An idea I have is to maybe type up a press release. Maybe there is a journalist amongst us who knows exactly what to say so that the press release is perfect and that media houses feel that they really need to publish it. After the press release is ready, get some fax numbers from the general media and start faxing away.

Lo all!
I Would be happy to fax an article to newspapers,etc. maybe if we got 5 ppl to fax the same thing to the same number, and we do it to a whole lot of numbers, it would draw more attention? (Dunno if that all makes sense!)

Sounds good, so who's up for writing the press release? I was thinking we could submit to iafrica.com as well since they get quite a bit of traffic. I could even set up an ad on bidorbuy.co.za for this site at no cost. I 'm looking to push this as far as we can go.
What do u guys think?

It is great to see this initiative. It is your site as much as it is mine and you therefore has as much of a right to contact the media as a MyADSL members as me. Please just make certain that you reflect the opinion of users. I am certain that the media will not ignore this outcry.

Another idea is also to comment on any online media that has a story regarding ADSL, if there is a facility like the one ITWeb provides.
Make sure you mention MyADSL but try avoid blatently 'pimping' the site, otherwise your comment may be rejected outright as soliciting.
