So if on a diet, you should rather not eat take aways at all.
But if you do eat take away, what would be the the worst choice to make? In terms of fat and calories? Is pizza more bad than good? :p
Had a discussion over this topic the other day and would like to see some more views.

I'd guess that McDonalds is worse than pizza. I hear the milkshake is especially bad - has more calories than a Big Mac!

the chips and coke is the worst part of a McMeal. Completely empty calories
The burger is still full of crap, but it's more balanced.
Pizza just has too much fat, although if you have to just have two slices

The pizza tends to be full of oil. All take-aways contain things that are unhealthy because:
1. The ingredients are cheap and nasty.
Bad oils, colouring and flavourings to avoid having to spend on ingredients.
2. are designed to enhance the taste experience. Sugar is the main feature.
3. Things that can be digested easily. The burger even gets poured onto the grill now.
4. Preservatives to make them last and avoid delivery costs of fresh things.

It's not fat that makes you fat, its the carbs in the starch that make you fat.
I don't like Mcdonalds purely for the fact that it worries me that such small burgers fill you up, so it must be richly lined with oil and other nasties.
Rather get Steers if you want a burger. As long as you don't have chips, you will be OK.

The only part of the pizza that has to be slightly fattening is the pizza base and cheese.
Some of you might say thats the whole pizza but thats not true.
An ultra thin base pizza, half amount of cheese and a good portion of veggies is WAY more nutritional than anything macdonalds can come up with.
Mind you i just recently bought a cup of corn from McD's that seems pretty healthy, heard their salads have sugar in them?

Macdonalds, order just a big mac, toss everything except the patti, and you're sorted :)

If you leave out coke/dessert then I'd say equal.

McDonalds food stats are available on their website. Quite scary!
The Grilled Chicken Foldover is the second worst "main" meal, quite ironic. IIRC the Cajun Chicken Burger is the worst.

I recall that, but can't find it on their website now.
I phoned Debonaires, they will get back to me.
