Require Classical music

Honestly don't know why but for some reason I feel like listening to classical music. Recommendations? Cello music if possible.

Also music from Chopan? Not sure how to spell it?

theres this band called "apocalyptica". basically, 4 guys playing chellos. the twist is that there is a bit metal influence in the stuff they play. they have an album called "plays metallica by for chellos" (yeah, i know, not the best english) which is a few of metallica's best songs done with chellos.

i like them =)

stay away from the new album "worlds collide". they tried their hand at doing general alternative rock with chellos... not that cool.

if you want to get into some classical with an emphasis on cello try
- Dvorak Cello Concerto
- Elgar Cell Concerto as played by Jacqueline du Pre
- Rachmaninoff as mentioned above

more generally for getting into stuff
- Grieg Peer Gynt Suite
- Dvorak New World Symphony
- SaintSaens Danse Macabre
- Tschaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Minor

there is lots and lost of melacholic Chopin piano music - was my favourite when i played

A few classic piano concertos which may also be of interest to you:

Saint-Saens Piano Concertos nr 4
Chopin Piano Concerto nr. 2
Piano Concerto No. 5 (Emperor)
Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2
Tchaikovsky Piano concerto no. 1

Good interpretations of these pieces are generally advisable. I have heard really poor executions of these classics…

I didn't watch the vid- had the music on my computer already. If you turn you monitor off and just listen to the music, you can't tell me it's not moving....
