injections: B12 and/or B complex really gives me a boost when my batteries feel pap. A nurse at a local dischem or pharmacy should be able to administer them ;)

...unless you're feeling brave:eek: (DIY)I have heard of all these vitamin B12 injections lately but what exactly is it? Why can't you just take it in pill form and does it really work?

Chicken noodle soup (fluids and vitamins) and plenty of bed rest. (as Bwana said).
And fresh air as well - it doesn't help sitting cooped up in a stuffy room all day long.
Be cautioned - there are new flu strains which can also affect your heart, so if you really don't feel too well, best go see a doctor.

My pharmacist said your body excretes the pill before it even has time to metabolise so basicly the pill goes right through you without giving much effect.
The injections are IM - intra muscular - (into your bottom is usually a good place) few veins and large muscle.
A 10cc (=10ml) usually costs about R15. You should take about 1ml at a time. ;););) (once a week)

Oh yes, the main advantage is that it helps with immune functions, metabolism and red blood cell production.

What works for me : sleep .
Especially if you have that "scratchy" throat effect and mild headache [instead of coughing/sneezing] , meaning you can still actually sleep uninterrupted.
