Does anybody out there know anything about agoraphobia?
What can a person do to help someone with this condition?

It has become quite serious already, this person doesn't want to leave the house at all.
She needs to get treatment from a pshyciatrist, but doesn't want to go there.

I read that anxiety medication can help, but there are addictive tendencies in the family.

Has anyone ever been through something like this? Some first-hand experience or tips would be much appreciated.

I have/had this, in my case caused by very bad anxiety. On a drug called paxil now, which is kind of an anti-depressant but with a focus on anxiety. 95% better which is a worlds difference.
