Beware the social cyber conman (http://mybroadband.co.za/news/Internet/3816.html)

Despite the threat of identity fraud, cyber crime and espionage, people are still too trusting - sharing personal information with people they don’t know, and posting their details online without a second thought as to how that seemingly useless information can cost them in the wrong hands.

A cyber criminal only has to catch you off-guard and get you to answer a few pointed questions and he has all the ammo he needs to hack his way in.
Like what?
if you give your number out then of course people are going to phone you (just about everyone at work has my number)
Sure if you leave stuff like your bank account details, id number codes lying around you just being plain stupid.

When in doubt say no

If a person really wants to target you all he or she needs is your car's registration number. Starting with that you can get the ID number and once you have an ID number you can start to find out where the person has accounts. I've tried it on myself and it is scary how easy it is to obtain the information.

Me too. I just tricked myself into giving myself my credit card pin number and now who knows what I'm going to buy....
