And so, after a looooong wait, I finally received my line, adsl line and what not... happy days. But wait - this is Telkom, there should be something that goes wrong, right?

Right - I received my first bill today and guess what - the idiot installing technician has made some R30 worth of cellphone calls on my line after installing it! And guess who will now have to spend money to GET to telkom and time to sort it out....?

Bloody incompetent idiots! ARGH!

so what you do now is lay a complaint.
Telkom policy forbids him to se your phone under any circumstances other than to call work related tollfree numbers. If it's found that the technician used yor phone he'll be out looking fo a new job

I got to all this one B$. All the technicians have a company cellphone with them at all times, and they all know company policy regarding the use of clients' phones. They have to sign a form when starting a task on your line, and sign off when done. This all gets entered in a DB

I cant see a guy risking his job like that for R30. Maybe look for the culprit closer to home.

The techie will (hopefully:o) know that Telkom does itemized billing and will therefore not risk it.
