I just received this SMS joke, it's in Afrikaans, but helluva funny!
"Die kos pryse het so die hoogtes ingeskiet. Ons moes maar vanaand net aan tafel sit terwyl ek vir ons voorlees uit die Kook en Geniet."

"Food prices are so high. Tonight at the dinner table all I could do is read from a recipe book."
The "Kook en Geniet" (Cook and Enjoy) is a very traditional Afrikaans recipe book. Almost every Afrikaans family owns one.

My 'Kook en Geniet' has been in the family for 3 generations. :cool:
Even tells you how to boil an egg.

Usefully book that thing. Esp for kitchen noobs like me who might just starve without step-by-step instructions for everything.
