Have you ever met or befriended people who turned out to be such quality people in terms of their character, that you just wanted to hold on to them forever?
What prompted this question was just that I was thinkink back on some of my past friendships, and there's ones that I dearly miss because of . . . well, because of exactly what I stated in the opening question. Just want to see whether there's people with similar experiences.

I would like to think I'm a good judge of charactor. All my friends are like that. People of Stature and friends you can phone 3am in the morning if you have problems, a car getting stuck or what ever. They always show up in a nic of time.
Thank God for friends like mine :)

No, not really. You also have to realise that looking back on something can create a warped view.

Definately. Unfortunately sometimes the "holding on to" part sometimes gives them the wrong impression and then they get pushed away from you.
I think Halicon's "departures" thread fits in nicely with this one

If I may - what happened? Why didn't you hold onto it?

I now have couple of those now. I would do my best to keep them as close as possible.
