View Full Version : End of my rope?!?

:o

I think I'm reaching the end of my rope.

I haven't been sleeping properly for the last 2 weeks!
I come to work and I'm not even here for 5 minutes and I'm already "the moer in"

This morning, a rep complained I didn't do a ad FAST ENOUGH, now, for those who know, I worked Tuesday from 7:30am to about 10pm on Tuesday night and I was exhausted, Wednesday I did all my regular Wednesday duties but at a slower pace and eventually got to the ad, I was so tired and sleepy the whole day so some could maybe 'feel' for me.

This excludes the fact that I worked on Saturday too (when no other reps did) and I worked late Monday (when no one else did)

Ontop of that, this morning, I was told that a few of the reps can't seem to print to a certain printer, and when I said "Well, no one has mentioned anything about this too me" the lady in question just went "oh well" which only made me even MORE the moer in because now I look like some idiot.

I'm so tired and I was late for work today and slept thru 3 annoying alarms and I just can't take this anymore.

I spoke to my super and he says "take a day off next week" which to me is pointless, I need to take leave but the chances of me actually getting leave in this place is pointless unless I get a doctors certificate or something, then they just 'can't' say a word.

Trust me, I fight for leave every year because they simply know that, without me, certain people who DON'T work, will have to work and then that will just not go.

I want to know, what is the best way to get leave, leave that they can't say no too, should I goto a doctor and claim stress (which I think I have) or what?

As much as MyBB keeps me sane during the day, I can't deny that something is going on with me, I'm even snapping at friends for stupid stuff.

Ideas / Thoughts / Comments ?!?

I don't really have advice for you my man. Sorry you are so down and I really hope that the good folks on this forum will be able to help you out. Come play poker with us tomorrow evening mate or join us for Paintball sometimes. Paintballing really helped me deal with work related stress. I was actually very surprised at how much. Good luck man.

yes go and do that. Tell the doc that you dont sleep, you are irritated the whole time and that you feel generally demotivated....doc will book you off for a while due to stress induced depression.

Read up about it a bit to make sure that the doc is convinced :)

Good luck and God speed!

If you don't do something about it then this sort of thing continues. You need the leave and without it you can't be as efficient as you need to be.

Quit trying to save everyone at work, if you don't change your behaviour then no one else will. Good luck.

I hate reps, they are soo bloody demanding, and care nothing for people involved in implementation processes, all they care about is the commission in their pockets.
I fight reps everyday, and will continue to throw spanners in their works...
Rant over...

Give your super a warning that you're going to take all your allocated holiday next week. If he gives you grief, just tell him your about to have a nervous break-down (kinda true) and if that happens your no good to him anyway.

Switch cellphone off unplug phone & go rent a movie.

Spend less time on forums, I found myself slipping at work and made a conscious decision to stop visiting forums during the day and I've found my workload has decreased substantially.
