Not sure if anyone posted this, but if you check the SM (sunday tribune) you'll see they have an article about ADSL & mention this site as well[:)]

Every bit helps... I actually tried to get Sharon to just put up MyADSL as a webwatch site but she went full article on it.

Hi ASnogerD

Excellent work.

As you point out every bit helps. No company, including a monopoly like Telkom, likes negative publicity. This is especially true for Telkom as they would like to portray an image of a customer oriented company. They are spending millions on advertising to achieve this, which is an indication how serious they take public perception. The media is one of our most effective and only options, and I think we already achieved something through it. I see users getting free bandwidth from Telkom, increased feedback, the modem prices dropped by nearly 50% etc. This was unlikely 6 months back when our only hope was 0800 375 375.

To the admin on this site, I do believe that the 'Mail & Guardian' would be the best route in the media to pursue, imho. They are one of the few to actually chase up investigative journalism and aren't afraid of reporting contentious issues. They might also be interested as they cover mainly political and governmental issues of "corruption" in our country, not that I'm hinting anything of the sort is happening here...!
