tomorrow is the launch of the testing in jhb, is there anyone who can keep us informed of how it is going? will there be a demo setup anywhere where one could see this product in action? honestly its hard enough work getting someone else to pay for this if they don't know whats going on and if we could maybe see it somewhere it would make life a lot easier.. thats one of the reasons why i wanted to be a tester..

Yes maybe also post technical stuff like pings and speeds(using Myadsl speed test if they don't mind) :) I want to know how fast this service is mmm.. going to check out the Demo system here in DBN as soon as it's done(Hopefully next week or after next week) :)

Being testers(and only a few of them at the beginning), doesnt it mean these guys are going to get much faster speeds than we'll get when it's launched commercially because there are fewer people on the system using the bandwidth?
How true will a speed test be then?

yep cause when only like say 20 people are on then the contention or something bursts so u can d/l at up to 3mbps so then its not really a true indication of how it is going to be. its more an indication of how it actually works.. is there going to be a demo centre somewhere in jhb?

This was one of the first topics on the mywireless forum, who knew it would be so relevant today.

who knew our worries would not be bandwidth availability, but just network management

There are more than a 100 users per tower as far as I know, much more than some of the MyWireless towers atm...

Help save the bandwidth. Decent download speeds for TheRodent! Stop downloading now!!!
