Woosh being the NewZealand ISP deploying the technology behind MyWireless.
Summary is that Woosh "aren't recommending our Woosh product for gaming"

gaaahhh I hope your wrong and I hope Sentech have a better technological step than NZ though it could be that they are connecting to international games like Australia etc that is why I would love some ping times on the system.ProAsm I hope you answer this one it worries me a little.

cerb, beta's are getting organised this week and on monday the 8th offical testing will start and all testers hopefully a few here, will be able to shed some light on all the pings and what this product supports and what its leet for. 1 week and all your questions will be answered. I know that the offical launch in JHB is 18th of Jan 2004+-, im just as excited as you and until these beta's start doing some real testing in all forms we'll soon find out :)))

Cannot answer you on this one Cerb, hopefully the Beta testers take gaming pings into account with their tests.
There again, as the Woosh guy says, its just a case of IPWireless tweaking the software to suite, so lets wait and see.
Pity we could not do tests from Durbs [:(]

When are the beta tests starting ProAsm ? and can we expect quick feedback I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering if pings will be constant(like ISDN) it would really ruine the package for me:( But there might have been improvements already I just hope they are implimented soon :) well here's to hoping and waiting.

Testing will start very soon and like you constant steady pings is of great concern for me too.
Anyway I have been informed that the powers that be have been keeping a watchfull eye on this forum, thanks largely to rpm, and are absorbing all the comments and complaints floating around. [;)]
Soon some may join us here also [:)]
