I heard about this a long time ago and just want to hear if it still works. People say that with Virgin moblie data costs 50c/mb but when your airtime reaches 0c you can continue using data at no cost. Does this work?

Hi Ghost. I think it it was just a problem with their billing system at one stage. I know I can use Mxit on my sim with 0 airtime, but I heard Mxit was free on Cell C and Virgin, I can't do any browsing though, nothing opens.

If I connect my phone to my laptop and connect, I get redirected to a Cell C site that says I have to load airtime to browse ;)

So answer is no, only if theirs some type of billing stuff up.

Thanks for the help, wish that "problem" was still there.

makes me long for the "bottomless cup" that mtn use to offer!! i have no idea what it was or how it worked , but all you did was recharge with any amount and you download till you cant download anymore... at 1.8Mbps

"imouttahere longs for the days mtn charged under 0.10 / gig of data"

Occasionally this year my vodacom vlive connection has forgotten to charge me for a 200mb session.
A treat for any heavy downloader.

I have an idea, lets have a contest!! The first guy who can tell me how to get free internet with MTN, Cell C, Vodacom or Mtn wins:D. I will have to think about a prize..........

Well we wouldn't tell you coz then they would stop it but free internet is better than almost any prize

True, well so much for that...... LOL, I'm getting ADSL anyway so it doesn't matter. Though I'd love free internet....

ADSL is like drinking a "chocklet melkie" after you've had a few beers, absolute heaven ;)

If ever you experience free internet by accident.
It is a treasure you must keep secret to your grave...
I once made the fatal mistake by bragging about it,
and karma kicked my a$$.
Its like the girl of your dreams thats long gone....

If you getting free data your internet is fixed if you tell anyone about it, they will brake it for you again
