oh my that would be wonderful, but I don't see it being as popular as JHB as there aren't as many gamers as in JHB, and the counter strike and q3 players would want to compete with people from other regions of the country, whats your thoughts on this armitage?

oh and is it possible for people on the wifi to hack into people using it?

there is already one being created. But it is going to comercial, part of an wireless isp. Also they are making an ftp, where users within this wireless community can upload and download 2. Its going to be pretty decent.

I will keep you guys posted. And Hey don't only think of the cs and q3 players, WARCRAFT!!!!!

well everything can be hacked its just not possible to have a system that's unhackable unless u know the old throw the pc in a safe and bury it 10km's underground.
but there are certain encryptions that can be used for the network that should prove better than the original wep standards.

also nice idea bout a commercial idea but thats just it i dont wanna always have to fork out to play a game. the idea of the ftp is nice saves on bandwidth cause most gamers have pretty the same ideas. though the isp is gonna have hell when it finds out that its ftp is embarressed cause of all the pr0n on it.

warcraft freeek? naa nononono generals zero hour..........droool.
also if u look at the stats at langames.co.za cape towns got the highest amount of lanners out there registered bout 2168 last time i checked the closest is pretoria in the 1800's so dont say that we dont have the gamers. Now if only the words can be spread....

Hi

Will this only be limited to WiFi users or will there be a way for ADSL users to connect into this?

Regards

i think the only way adsl users can join, is if they join thru somebody else connection. like if im on wireless then u connect to my ip and then you can see the game. Something like that

Hey Armitage.

Where abouts are you situated. I'm in the newlands area.

What sort of equipment is going to be needed, and what are the costs?
Thanks for taking the initiative, will chat to some friends to see if they are interested.

Well adsl is a internet service waht were trying to do is create a network that runs without the need for adsl or mywireless so that we can play and frag and share and whatnot with whomever we want on the network.

Im close by to newlands. armitage have you found out about the hardware costs? Call scoop distributers. They are network distibutors. They also bring all planet stuff to SA.
