I download just over 200 megs a nite mon-thurs, and just over a gig on weekends.. for 75 beans that's awright ;) That totals round 7 gigs a month.. I don't know where Telkom got the DSL story wrong but hey if you have patience dialup is allright with R7 call [:)] I average round 5.2KB/s anytime (international) even if only connected at 48kbps.

Just imagine where SA would be now if it weren't for Telkom

Mweb ISDN is the fastest. It used to be UUNET corporate dial-ups until they switched over to SAIX POPS.

@lantic is just a SAIX reseller, like most other ISP's. (@lantics support sucks.)

I've always thought MWeb is very slow.. I download the same file from the same place with @lantic and then MWeb - @lantic 5+ KB/s, MWeb maybe 2KB/s if i'm lucky. They're overloaded, everyone uses them because they've been around longer than the rest... but the newer ISP's are faster IMHO, especially 56k dial-up.
