hey all

i was wondering if anyone has done this course @ Linuxholdings in PTA??

i am going on it next week and was wondering if its really worth it??

company wants me to go and they are paying so i have to :rolleyes:

Yip, I did the linux redhat essentials at sybase, and its well worth it

Its very nice, if you are comming from a windows environment, it will help you a lot, even though I dotn use redhat, the basics always stay the same

I did the Linux Networking course with these guys. The lecturer was impressively knowledgeable but I was a bit disappointed with their supporting materials. Was not very good as reference material after the course and if you spend only about 10% of your time on Linux (not by choice though) one needs material to jog your memory.

its kinda expensive though considering ive been using linux for a year now and know most of the stuff

Courses are always expensive. It's usually for copyright reasons. But at the end of the day if you get a certificate of completion then it is worthwhile since you can "claim" extra pay for a better qualification.

well if only they had courses where you simply go write the exam and just pay exam fees kinda like comptia

It would be cool, since half of the stuff is self-study anyways. I've done several Cisco courses and I self-study them all.

yeah i wanna do the linux+ course at the end of year financial constraints have been holding me back now that redhat has an office here we'll see what they offer

finished the course.... was aw raait.....

learned a bit, but i agree they need more supporting material....
