This is my most recent communication with Neotel... Everyone... start bugging them... they'll have to bow down to their customers and provide some kind of REAL reply?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Neotel has been awarded a licence… the legal constraints are non existent.

The terrain close the the airport is Flat, gets rid of the Terrain Concern.

That simply leaves a project plan for expansion?,

Having recently read the forums at mybroadband.co.za (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=169)

Consumers are actually being led to believe that there IS both incompetancy and disappointment because of Neotels lack of commitment and timelines…

There are also numerous complaints on there regarding this template reply.

Dear Mr Zain ,

Thank you for the interest in Neotel services.

At this point in time we cannot give you an indication of when our services will be available in your area. Our expansion to this area depends on various uncertain factors including research, terrain and legal constraints and we cannot make any commitment on this basis. We are reluctant to create any sort of expectation for our consumers as to the service availability to them. This is done solely to prevent disappointment and incompetency on our side.

If you need any further information about our service, you can call us on 0800 333 636 or email us at consumers@neotel.co.za. We will be more than happy to assist you.

Kind Regards,

They are called Neoghost for a reason. Everyone has heard of them, but no one can provide any proof.

This is why there are no online maps....

They should at least have a roll-out section which areas will be covered over the months etc......

I took a look at the coverage map and the entire JHB has this has this pinkish purple colour around it. Is that not the coverage area?

The damn map takes forever to load (not unlike their rollout) - so I'm not bothering with it

Mutual and Federal cover almost anything I've heard.
Blankets also help, but it'll get warmer soon.

What interests me is there feasibility number they give
us saps that have no coverage.eg gid8115.
Neotel seems to know but keeps us in the dark about coverage dates.
