Got any pics for us, bwana?
Do you have a 35mm Canon camera to use it on? Got a FF? I'm interested to see some of your photos from that lens. :)

I used to have a nice test shot of a bench next to a broken wall but we've since fixed it (the wall) and it doesnt have the same depth.

I'll take some more photos when I have a moment. Maybe this afternoon or tonight. I'll need the super wide to fit the cake in with all those candles. :(

Maybe this afternoon or tonight.

on your 400d it's just a normal wide-angle
but optically it should be good
nice and fast too - good for indoors
16mm works out to about 26mm (FF equivalent)
16mm + f/2.8 + digital = you can shoot in the dark :)

Its a nice fast fun lens.

EDIT - I found "Extreme wide-angle" but those are fish-eye lenses.

nice
Is that on your 400d? (so that would be 16mm x 1.6 = 26mm in FF terms)

You got that ultra wide lens. Now you need a FF. :D
How about a 2nd hand Canon 35mm for the time being. (people are practically giving them away) I think you should consider it if a deal comes up that's a steal. (while you wait for 5dmk2)
I would not wait for the 5dmk2 - too much money. (5d is superb - certainly most image for the money)

thanks - and yes that was on the 400D.

TBH I've really got no interest going back to film - at least until I have the time/space for a darkroom (even though it used to give me wicked eczema).

I'm waiting for the 5D's successor in the hope that the 5D's prices will fall. After the lens I'm kind of tapped out atm :o

Shame, your shops are crap. That sucks. :(

After speaking to many people, I've realized that the shop I go to is quite good.

Talking about ultra wide lenses:
Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 is very good for crop factor cams.

R25 for developing & scanning  What's wrong with the shops I use? Apart from them not hiring out equipment they seem fairly knowledgeable and are certainly helpful.

The Strelitzia is K1000 + 50mm + Fuji Superia 200
The two on the left were taken with EOS3 + 28-135 IS + Kadak Gold 200

Can you post a full 7MP for pixel peeping?
Where? Do you know of websites that allow such res?

PS They use the Noritsu S2 film scanner.

:o

I thought you said you developed your film at home. I assumed you did this because the shop did not do it right.

Flickr? Or was "7MP" a typo?

Is that an older model? I don't see it on their website. Found one pic in goolge though - looks like bigger pro stuff.

Aah sorry, I didn't think about that. Google Picasa Web Albums offers a way around. You can hide all your albums from public view, but at the same time give you a link that you can give to someone to find it. I'll PM you an example.

The one thing I don't like about it is if you hit the zoom icon, it literally zooms the small version, instead of loading the larger version. But there's still a link on the right hand side to see the full version.

I thought you said you developed your film at home. I assumed you did this because the shop did not do it right. No - I learnt to process and develop b/w before I was a teenager - never did find a lab that could read my mind and give me exactly what I wanted. :)
I don't have a pro account. Not worth it for you?
