I need a small compact digital camera to take with me in a hydration pack on enduro rides.
I have not looked at any of these cameras in ages, can anyone recommend a good cost effective one that is compact but offers reasonable quality and functionality.
Needs to be robust enough to take a few knocks as well.

EDIT - Maybe check out the Canon IXUS range or the Olympus FE models.

Not the cheapest but my Sony DSC-T100 is very compact - no protruding lens but still has 5x optical zoom. It has a pretty hard metal shell and has survived several drops. It's beer-proof too.

I have had a Canon IXUS 400 for about 5 years, and it is great!

The olympus mju range are pretty sturdy, but not so cheap...

Maybe looks for a 2nd hand one?Maybe - otherwise I'm sure it will turn up eventually. If not I've also got my Sony DSC-F1 to fall back on. :D
