Anyone experience these disconnection for like a split second or so. Where the device just switch on, forms of disconnection/re-dial.
They told me at the call centre this has been resolved, but still it continues..

Man with all the issues you have been having I am now seriously considering staying with Vodacom. Disconnects, slow upload and download speeds, blue screens of death and other such problems. Scary stuff! Now I know why they make you get a 24 month contract.

The Blue screen of death now has been sorted my computer has been up 5 days str8 without any reboot..... The downloads speeds are back...... Just the frequent disconnections are starting to make angry.....
The Contract can be canceled any time, the only fee liable by you is the device. R80 per month x reaming duration of contract.... Lets say I been with Neotel for 6 months, I then will be liable for the other 18 months.. Just the device..
That scared me off quite alot.
Trust me when I got the BSOD, I thought for one moment perhaps it was some software I installed. Did a complete format 4 times, and to my discovery the only thing to blame : Lite Device drivers for Vista, and yeah it turned out to be the lite device.
Well definitely +1 for patience!

Had a similar problem; I simulated this problem on Linux/XP in a VM and Vista as a host...
While in the VM I could trace what exactly was the issue; it seems to have been the DNS that does not reply for some or other reason; which let's the OS disconnect the session....
Resolved the issue by replacing the DNS with the DNS from opendns.org....Works much better! MTN seems to have a similar problem; but less frequently...

Status update: Neotel has done some network upgrades, wonder if things will change.
