So ive recently downloaded a "grab it" a prog my buddy said i shoould get told me i could downloads tons of stuff with the useless 30 gigs local bandwith i have=S so i download it install,everything works i read sticky posts on News servers not that i understand it all but ok,i get saix address and add the server....then i get tons of file names...so i click away and after waiting for a while after going through dead links i get to the file server "random name" i see something i like and grab it (rofl) then i see file size 0.o o.0....i check my download folder only to see word file with random sentences...sigh...the things i wanted to know are:
1. Can i download worthwile material with this prog (movies,music games)
2. If so is there a better server,or can u guys direct me where to look within saix
3. Sorry if this is a repeat of anything already seen in sticky post,but lol its ways to long to read everything

sigh... yes you can, but the question is if you couldn't figure out the simple guide... should you really be using them ?
but don't look through the groups in the program... use a site that has nzb files,, like newshost is the local one, and there are loads of int. sites that have nzb's that just point grab it to where the file is and then load those in grab it and it will download the content.

it says i dont connect newshost on guide???i went to site rofl and it just bookmarked my ip???im lost ffs =S
think newshost has gone private.. use int. sites like Nzbsrus and newzleech... etc, im sure they are in the guide, then just open the nzb in grab it say download and if you did the part of the info about the server right it will start downloading.
you on saix or IS ?

post this under news server related questions , why make a whole new thread and to setup grabit is easy
download it
add a news server:
News Server Address For Saix:
news.saix.co.za
News Server Address For IS:
news.is.co.za
Port:119
Leave Username And Password Blank
Now Download A Nzb A Select The News Server You Added
Note:Saix Is Over Loaded So Very Unlikely You Are Going To Get A Connection:rolleyes:
ty u guys, meh just go into newshost rofl left a nice long queue in grab it downloads after the last 5 attempts trying to get scrubs episode failed due to connection timeouts guessing thats the norm....
anyways my next post will be when i succesully download somethig XD cheers all and thanks

if using saix then yes get used to it :D
