Please be advised that, on Hendrik Potgieter, in Roodepoort, on both sides of the Jim Fouche intersection, they are pulling off motorists for seatbelts. They are doing this in the direction towards 14th Avenue, and on both sides of the Jim Fouche intesection.

Ja that is one thing, but what about the taxis that just conveniently slip through every single time.

And just so that everyone knows where I stand :)
I despise the METRO POLICE, and I have no respect for them. The day they decide to stop being a law unto themselves and targeting average motorists while the taxis and other deviants on the road, get away with murder, only then will I change my views about them.
Until then, I will continue warning people about speed traps, roadblocks and pull-overs.
And, also, just so that everyone knows. I am going to be taking them to court soon, they have attempted to fine us for a speed limit violation, when we drove the damned speed limit as indicated on the boards.
Beware, they're working on their xmas bonuses early this year.

So you get fined for your passenger not wearing a seatbelt, BUT its okay for these guys to ride on the back of bakkies? Does someone not see the lack of logic here?

Yes, perfectly OK for them to be packed like sardines, and almost falling off of the back of said pick-up.
I've seen many accidents on the N1 over the years, where said pick-up's tyre burst and all these fellows on the back of the pick-up end up strewn all over the road, dead as doornails! Not a pretty sight by any means.
Also perfectly OK for taxi that is crumbling and one that has a vise grip for a steering wheel, to be driven on our roads. But noooo... they'll rather pull off and fine Mrs. Jones in her Golf for her passenger not wearing a seatbelt or a faulty tail-light.
They once fined me in a business park for not wearing a seat belt. In a business park???? I kid you not. This happened at Linbro Office Park. Fsckers!!!

I may be wrong but that isn't allowed as it is not on a public road? Right..?
