View Full Version : Man United mafia

Genius.

One of the biggest news on sky sports today is the fact that Man United acted like the mafia last night.

They were not given permission to talk to Berbatov. Man City was given permission. They proceeded to swoop the player, had a medical done. Spurs released a statement saying that they will complain and have an investigation done.

Then in a surprising twist, the player signs and Spurs say they will not pursue with a complaint.

The story goes on by saying that HUSH money had to be given to Spurs. The expert on sky said that Man United is a disgrace to football and the way transfers are done. He hopes that a investigation is still done and that United can be exposed cos this type of behaviour is pathetic and breaks all the laws of football.

He also said its reasons like this that give football a bad name, and that United act like the mafia thinking they are above the law.

What hypocrits United are. They make such a big woop ha about Ronaldo and Madrid and then they do this.

Goodluck to them.

Same thing I was saying last night!

Real madrid at no time spoke to Ronaldo during the whole saga, yet got accused by Manchester of tapping up their player.Fifa sided with Real Madrid on the whole thing saying they were not at fault.

Manchester not only hold talks with Berbatov but give him a medical on top of it.What a bunch of hypocrites.

Genius.

Yup, they sent a limo to pick him up as well. So they were saying that United think they are above the law. Not allowed to talk to the player but they send a car to pick him up and bring him to Old trafford.

Disgrace!

Of course, and your are obviously a mature, well-adjusted person hence the derogatory remarks towards other teams.

Anyone actually have any proof of these allegations? Or even a link to a credible news source running these allegations? Without at least this we might as well talk about how Spanish Football is covertly controlled by a race of lizard-men.

Like genius said, the debate was on Sky Sports News.
The facts are all over the net regarding Spurs not giving permission to talk to Berbatov, only city had permission.
Yet manchester still went ahead holding talks with him and even going ahead with a medical on the player. If you know fifa's laws regarding teams aproaching players you would know that its illegal unless given permission by the other team.

I didn't see the show so I can't judge how credible it was. Who made the accusations and what evidence did they present?

If it was on Sky than surely they would follow it up their website?

Meanwhile United, who have not had a bid accepted, have reportedly been holding talks with the 27-year-old at their training ground, Carrington, and even having a medical with the double-winners, according to Sky Sports News. This prompted Tottenham to reiterate in an official statement that United had not been given permission to speak to the player.

Another:

The Times:

They claimed that United had not been given permission to talk to the forward, because no bid had been accepted. Tottenham had turned down United’s £25 million offer two weeks ago.

Tottenham then threatened action against United for an alleged “tapping-up”, as well as scuppering their chances of selling Berbatov to City.

We all know how credible Sky is. The debate was on sky live report during lunch time. So it is very credible. It was an expert in studio providing insight into the Berbatov saga. I dont know why it isnt on the sky's webiste yet, i never checked.

I dont think they will get FACTS regarding under hand dealings unless an investigation is done.

Here are the facts that were on skys site last night: You can check and confirm.

Berbatov was picked up by Man United
Berbatov was having a medical done at Old Trafford last night.
Spurs did not give permission to United to speak to Berbatov.

Now that facts alone, are in direct conflict with FIFA law! Clubs are not allowed to do speak to players without permission.

I guess all United fans are saying its ok now, cos their club is doing it. Just turn a blind eye. Thats what the sky expert in studio said.

And yet nothing on reputable news sites? Odd isn't it?

The snippet you posted points to Tottenham disputing what was said on Sky Sports rather than the actions of Manchester United.

I am sure you can appreciate the fact that just because one of the talking-heads on Sky Sports said something, doesn't necessarily make it true. Perhaps you should wait for some evidence before getting out the pitchforks?

Spurs did not give permission to United to speak to Berbatov.

Funny, because non of that is on Sky Sports' website now. Or the BBC's for that matter.

I think that in your haste to jump on the bandwagon you may have been misled. Are you sure you are not basing this whole outcry on then Daniel Levy corrected Sky Sports that they had not accepted a bid yet from Manchester United when they had mistakenly reported that they had?

You clearly do not follow football closely enough then.

I am not missled at all. If you watch sky sports you would know that their experts consist of past players and coaches. Pundits in the game, they know they game. Sky sports is the most credible source of information, they are the no 1 football news channel in the world. Their experts are not any tom dick and harry - they are football people.

I saw all the pics last night, when i was staying up until 1am to see the latest transfers. On Skys site, they had a pic of Berbatov at OT. If u cant find it, really doesnt bother me.

Why would Sky make such a big thing during their live report which is probably their NUMBER ONE DAY in the year! transfer day. Yet they still found the time to discuss this, but hey maybe they were lying when they said that Berbatov was picked up my a Man U car and maybe they were lying when they showed video of berbatov at Old trafford last night.

Maybe the video they were showing was just really a look alike to Berbatov at Old trafford last night.

Maybe Sky news is the new Voice or Die Son. Maybe i should have recorded the video and sent it to you, maybe then i can sleep tonight knowing that i have shown you that i am not making this up.

Maybe...

I have no doubt that Berbatov was at Old Trafford last night, seeing as he eventually signed a contract with Manchester United.

What you are claiming is that he was there without Spurs' permission not just that he was there. That requires a bit more proof.

As for the expert: a name would go a long way to helping judge what he has to say.

In July, Spurs submitted a year's worth of evidence to the Premier League to support their complaint of Manchester United's "disgraceful" pursuit of the forward.

And until late on Monday, the White Hart Lane club had confirmed that they had agreed a transfer fee only with City.

Spurs indeed did release a statement when they had not yet reached an agreement with United. They have since done so.

From what I can tell is that this "controversy" comes from the comments of one journalist who was featured on SSN. The factuality of his remarks remains as dubious as yours.

Yet, in your mind - United followed procedures. Sure ;) Thats why the video with Berbatov at OT last night, with all the fans outside the stadium - and sky reporters reminding the public that Spurs did not give Untied permission to talk to him is all false. They are making it up.

Also thats why all the papers are printing that a deal was struck that Spurs will not complain to the FA.

If everything was above board, then there should be no reason to complain to the FA.
