Kinda off topic, but some of u may be interested: I just watched Spielberg's Munich last night, and Daniel Craig (the new james bond guy) plays a South African (afrikaner-accented) who helps out the jews in their retaliation attempts. It's always amusing seeing south africans portrayed. Was very entertaining, and he does all right, relatively anyway.

under comedy I'd also slot in Van Wilder: Party Liason. The scene with the dog and the one immediately afterwards is so damn funny - and so wrong on so many levels :D

LOL No man Pirates of the Caribean was cool. Dont know if the sequal will be worth anything tho.

I have a few movies in there that most people would never have heard of like the Pedro Almodovar movies.

I like some of the more unusual movies.

Oh yeah forgot about the following

Saving Private Ryan
Band of Brothers (not a movie but still great)
Matrix (The Sequals were good but I still prefer the original)
Black Hawk Down
Schindler's List
Hulk

I cannot say that I am in any 'thinking' state of mind right now and therefore cannot think of many movies ATM but I must say that I thought that all the Lord of the Rings movies were brilliant depictions of the books - admitidly I read them and saw the movie last quite a while ago but I cannot remember any complaights I had regarding being faithful to the books, but the main thing regarding the movies for me was how well done the footage was.

And just thinking back a day I watched A murder of Crows last night on SABC3 which I actually thought had an interesting plot, just not very good acting and the end being a bit rushed - didn't feel very satisfactory if you know what I mean. But then again it is the SABC ;)

Angellus are you talking about the Crash with James Spader? :)

Nope actually talking about this one http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375679/

It won the Best Picture Oscar.

How is the other Crash?

Ronin is also pretty damn cool, forgot about that one... but what was in the damn briefcase? :D

Munich was quite interesting, I wouldn't rate it as anything special though. The main thing I enjoyed about it was Daniel Craig playing a South African. But then I can't actually believe in a heavily afrikaner accented, blonde, blue-eyed Jew that loves Israel to this extent, I'd like to know if the character was factual at all, but I can't find any info.

Apart from that it had other interesting elements, I liked the way they travel through Europe, you get to see some famous sights, etc. But the movie also had some serious flaws and some very poorly thought-out scenes.

I enjoyed it though!
