Canon EF 135mm f/2 USM

Someone mentioned this to me in the context of a "low light" lens. Which got me wondering. What on earth do you shoot at 135mm f/2? On a crop body, at 1m focus distance, you have 0.36cm of DOF. At 135mm on a crop body, I'm not sure you can even fit someone's face in the frame.

At 135mm on a crop body, I'm not sure you can even fit someone's face in the frame.I read its a great theatre/indoor sports lens.

And no at 1 meter you wouldnt fit their face in with a crop so 2 to 3m is a more likely scenario if you're doing head shots.

Aah right, that makes sense. At 10m you have around 40cm
