This is totally and wonderously OPEN SOURCE! Even has a South African language - Afrikaans - as a language option. Fantastic stuff! :o) No more ads and bye bye Kazaa!
Enjoy!

I used that about four or so months ago, great-looking program and more options than anything out there but sometimes it just doesn't download. It finds everything you could ever want, but in the download window nufing happens... not all the time tho.. but then I use Kazaa and it downloads... I changed ports etc. etc. but didn't work but maybe this newer version's better.. lemme go get it

you have to read the faq with shareaza, there is an option in the settings to download a server list (or something) for emule, you have to do this to really see anything happen. Shareaza seems to give you 10 mins with downloading something before it stops you and gives the next user 10 mins with the file... obviously this is fine for popular files, but a real pain for the more specific/less mainstream goodies. I think your best bet is to run shareaza on a donkey box 24/7, if you wait a few days/weeks you usually get what you want.
Also i really recommend looking up the definitions of the icons that are placed next to files it finds on a search, there are some icons which mean you will basically never get the file, and others which i think gaurantee you'll get something, try not to waste time with the 'bad' icons.
Of course this is all fine if my memory serves me correctly, might be wrong thou

BTW antowan i'm surprised you don't use Kazaa Lite (its a modified version with all the ad/spyware removed) i highly recommend it, they try and make you pay for the .exe download now so grab a copy from www.oldversion.com or search for it on normal Kazaa.
It also has an 'auto search more' function, a download accelarator and a whole host of other tools (AVI preview, DAT viewer etc..)

I have to admit, that Kazaa Lite was my first choice. I did however do quite a bit of reading before settling on SHAREAZA. It turns out that Kazaa Lite is on the downturn because ot lacks support fro supernodes and the like. It is not in development anymore is it? The reason is because Kazaa (the spyware and ad ridden version) has filed suit against companies serving Kazaa Lite... Copyright issues believe it or not.

KaZaa lite resurrection baby!!
another Rogue coder has resumed support of kazaa lite, now codenamed kazaa lite resurrection!
But I agree, kaZaafastTrack is on its way out, most the hard@sses out there have moved to a number of different services, gnutella/emule/torrent, thats where The power of shareaza shines through, simultaneous support for all said networks.
As comrade borris said, you need to keep the latest emule/edonket server lists.
I recently discovered why I never enjoyed it much, I couldn't find enough sources for download, this was because I was not connecting to gnutella2, often one loses the listings, but there is no download new option, gnutella2 works automatically with discovery services.
So if you notice you are not connecting to gnut2, hit F9, which pops up discovery services, and remove them all, Shareaza automatically refreshes new list!

When you hit your home button, Are you connected to Gnetella 2 and eDonkey, the problem normally occurs when the Gnut2 hosts list gets lost, if you are experiencing the problem, go to shareaza.com, where the nice people have set up a forum to discuss these things
