Which club in your opinion plays the most attractive football?
Watching Barca this season, they have regained the title of most attractive fooball playing club in the world. When they play its like watching a movie.
Who do u think play the best? In the EPL i would say Arsenal.

I think Arsenal and Barca. But is playing attractive football enough? look at what happend with Barca and Arsenal last season. Id rather have my team playing effective football(Rinus Michel calls it total football)
Im sure last nights match against Spurs was very attractive but now they find themselves 6 points behind Liverpool.

Barca play attractive football and score goals, you don't get 25 goals in 5 league games without playing "effective" football.
Last season, they had major problems within the squad and were not playing the type of football we come to expect from them.
Watching them this season, I can understand why they call football the beautiful game.

I think why Barca are playing better is cos they sold Ronaldinho - he used to slow the game down whenever he got the ball.

have you watched Brazil lately ,they are crap ,the best intl team to watch at this moment has to be Spain ,they play some good stuff ,and i have to agree that Barca are playing beautifully
but i have to agree with Fernando that i prefer my team to play winning football ,and i know barca are winning but lets see for how long they can keep it up ;)

Barca's run reminds me of the way they started their season in 2006. I think it was 17games unbeaten - a LA LIGA record.
Lets see how it goes against the top 4. Barca already thrashed Atletico. That leaves Real, Valencia and Villereal as the real testers.

When we played against Atletico the commentator said that they were on the verge of firing their manager. So I dont think you should get too carried away with the hiding you gave them:)

When we played Atletico the managers job was safe and there was no worry in the world. When Liverpool played Atletico - strange they could only manage a 1 - 1 draw. Barca should feel proud with the hiding they gave Atletico.
cos 2 weeks later Atletico scored 4 pass Villereal which are the very in form team in La Liga.
I still predict Atletico to top their CL group.

I think that's ridiculous :), especially considering the fact that the Barca team led by the self-same Ronaldinho won two Liga titles and a Champions League title (after many years of failure) and were playing the best football in the world.
During that period Ronaldinho also won back-to-back World Player of the Year titles.
I am a Barca fan but I believe it is still too early to compare the current team with the Ronaldinho/Deco era team for they haven't achieved what the latter achieved.
It's fascinating how quickly players who were once hero-worshipped can be forgotten and their contribution vastly underestimated.

totally agree with you ,couldnt have said it better myself :D,Barca are where they are today because of how ronaldinho ,deco transformed that team ,another thing to take into account is the effect they had on the other players development ,such as messi, iniesta, bojan they all improved by training and playing with the great ronaldinho ;)

This current team have been compared to the great barca team managed by Johan Cruyff.
Ronaldinho had loss the passion for barca long before his transfer and was claiming to be injured yet medicals showed nothing but spending nights out on the town.
I remember going back to barcelona and talking to friends, everyone wanted him out because of his attitude.

He never played cos he wasnt the same player we all loved. his form was poor, very poor and that coupled with late night parties was the reason he was always benched.
@ Redeemed - Reason why i said that its good he left is cos he used to slow the game down with his tricks - Barca are known for fast flowing football. Ronldinho started restricting their play in the last two seasons. He slowed the game down. he never used to slow it down like now.
If you were a true Barca fan, you would know that Ronaldinho never EVER made Barca. Barca were great before him and Deco came. It makes me laugh at all the wannabee Barca supporters who started supporting Barca when Ronaldinho was there thinking that he is the reason why they are BARCA!!! It is true he gave us a few unforgetable years but he is not Barca.
The current team is being compared to the GREAT 92 team (dream team) the 06 team comes no where close to the dream team.
Seems like im not alone in my statements.
Barcelona are a better team without Deco and Ronaldinho claims Lionel Messi.
Tuesday's 1-0 Copa del Rey win over Benidorm was Barca's 10th consecutive win under new coach Pep Guardiola.
And Argentina superstar Messi said the departure of Deco to Chelsea and Ronaldinho to AC Milan means Barcelona now "play more with the ball."
Messi said: 'Without Deco and Ronaldinho Barcelona's football has changed for the better.

But to say that Ronaldinho is the reason why the team played the best football in the world is insane!
Barca were always known for the way they play football WAY WAY before Ronaldinho came there.

From my above statement please show me where I said Ronaldinho was the reason Barca played the best football in the world?
I specifically credited the Ronaldinho/Deco era team, never said it was an individual.
I was just trying to show that it's unacceptable for you to credit the current good times to Ronaldinho's exit whilst at the same time not aknowledging the great contribution he made to the team and to World football at large.
For example Rivaldo's Barcelona won nothing of significance in Europe and always played second fiddle to Real Madrid but I will always respect him as a Barca legend, more so Ronaldinho whose contribution led to the team winning actual trophies and not just "plaudits" for playing the best football in the world.
I love entertaining football to bits (one of the reasons I chose Barca) but people remember Champions my friend.
My charge that the current team is not better than the Ronaldinho/Deco era team will remain valid and a fact until they can win the La Liga and the Champions League.
Even if the best football minds can compare this current team to the Dream Team of '92 it means zilch until they can win some trophies.

Of course it will mean zilch - the team has been playing together for a few months now but already Messi has come out and said the reason why they playing so well is cos Deco and Ronnie isnt there anymore.

He never made the team - i love Ronaldinho - have a shirt with his name on the back... but he is not Barca.
...and it is evident how better they are playing without him - his last two seasons - he slowed the game down. Its his own fault that he is not at Barca anymore, late nights, not diciplined. No wonder he isnt doing to wonderful at AC Milan.
I still admire him and thank him for the years he gave to Barca tho.

I'm not too worried about the football, my main concern is the trophies and some significant ones were won during the Ronaldinho/Deco era, or do you prefer pretty football to trophies? That team delivered both.
He never made the team - i love Ronaldinho - have a shirt with his name on the back... but he is not Barca.
I'm tempted to say you have a problem with comprehension, see comment above comment in blue.

Especially guru saying that Barca play attractive football but how long can they keep on playing like that :D
So i think its not even a debate now - attractive football can bring you success. Barca are perfectly positioned to take some silverware this season.
Also, i doubt any team in Europe are playing more entertaining and stylish than F.C Barcelona.

Haven't seen enough of Barca to put them at the top, so I'd have to go with Arsenal (after November at least) and then it is hard to say. No one has been consistent enough really. Even when Arsenal are poor, they manage a lot of good attacking footy :)
United haven't been the most entertaining for a number of seasons, sadly. The 90s tradition of 'however many you score, we'll score more' is firmly a thing of the past.

Not at all. I don't think I have to respond to the rest, I'll wait until the season is over. Fact is if they end up winning nothing, it doesn't change anything. Liverpool is my club, I love them and support them no matter what. I'm not a glory hunter. I was born there so I have no choice but to support them. I have loved every minute of supporting them (since about 1988).

Nobody is saying you have to change teams. We all support our teams through the thick and thin. All besides a select few on here who i believe to be glory hunters.
Must hurt tho. Thinking you can win the league. Then being dissapointed every darn year :D
Maybe next year dude. This forum was on fire a few weeks regarding Liverpool, i guess the supporters got the regular wakeup call - reminding them that it is yet again a trophyless year.

You have also repeatedly said that we have never been in the title race while we currently find ourselves 1 point behind United(If they beat Sunderland) If thats not in it then I dont know mate.
Also Liverpool have scored more goals in the League this season than Arsenal, United and Chelsea. Goals = entertainment right?
