Why are so many traffic lights out this morning? I came across 3. One was somewhere in PTA east, Hans Strydom I think. One in lower Roodepoort and then the R55/Olifantsfontein crossing. Yeah, I've been around.

Traffic lights? We've not been having it :p

Hans Strydon = Malibongwe. I noticed two sets of traffic lights that were off, I think it was on empire, and thats because theres roadworks being done.

No, the other Hans Strydom, in PTA, also has a Tile Africa, wonder if they did it on purpose?

Why does Metro cops not man these intersections and help with traffic flow. It's only in Joburg that Outsurance has points men that they pay to help when the traffic lights are out. :(

At least it seam that the people in Pretoria has a sligtly better idea of how to handle broken traffic lights than in Joburg.

Even the Lynwood/Hans Strijdom intersection, which is pretty big by Pretoria standards, works well when the lights are out.
