View Full Version : Telscum called me (marketing)
I just had a call from Telscum on my cell phone. The guy wanted to offer me services. He offered me their basic voicemail service. Previously, one had to pay to get a mailbox, this service is free, but limited to 5 messages per mailbox. Not too bad - I've always believed that services that are free on cell phones should be free on Telkom too.
Anyway, he then asked me if I am interested in other services too. I then immediately told him I WANT CHEAP ADSL!! I said I'd sign right now if it was priced below R400 per month. He replied that they are working on new offerings on ADSL. Can't wait ...
Anyway, if you receive a call from 0113352000, it will be them!

They've been working on new ADSL offerings since it's inception. What have we seen so far? An "unshaped" 4GB capped account for a ridiculous price. Thanks for nothing Telkom.

yip for R1500[}:)][:(][:(!]
Plus Telkom Employees have this uncanny habit of promising an interview, like on Cape Talk or with RPM of MyADSL, but always cancel or put their phones on voicemail.
I believe sincerely that Telkom is just stalling. They are not really committed to change.
This short sightedness might be gaining them share value in the short term, but they have done their company's image and credibility in SA damage that may be irreparable.

Yeah,
working on new packages imply they formulating a cost for the package, next you'll get the survey, how would you feel with the following ADSL pricing, for the price aware user.
local : since 1c doesn't exist anymore, its going to be 5c per 3KB (6KB in callmore)
int : 10c per KB (2KB in callmore)

They also phoned me a few months ago. I told the guy that he should not waste my time. I don't need any voice package from them. The only thing I will take is a cheaper ADSL option. Well, still waiting for his call.
Basic Telkom voicemail is free - the ppl who leave a voicemail pay per message

Not exactly what we wished for. We wished for a cheaper ADSL offering with better features. Not a cheaper option with less features.
